MTL ateliers is much more than a virtual boutique, it's an invitation to Montreal's exceptional ateliers: From clothing to home items, there are pieces carefully created and selected one by one, advice from professionals in crafts, trainings and classes for the curious wanting to know more and more experienced wishing to specialize.
Founded in 2018 on the initiative of Cinthya Chalifoux, owner of Maison Bespokenov, MTL ateliers is dedicated to showcasing the work of handcraft artisans whose work is rare and faithful to traditional methods of manufacturing their made by hand specialties and share their know-how.

House of Bespokenov is a Montreal-based atelier that specializes in the creation of unique handcrafted pieces. Passion, innovation, tradition and rigor are the values of the house and its founder Cinthya Chalifoux, who describes her work as clothing and visual art.

In 2009 she co-founds CIN Tailors and works as the head design and cutter for 6 years.
In 2015, eager to change her ways and make a completely artisanal yet creative product- she founds House of Bespokenov- Which takes her back to apprentice stage for 2 years.
In 2016, her passion takes her to France where she refines her bespoke techniques at La Fédération Nationale des Maîtres Tailleurs de France.
In 2017, she carries on her activities within Bespokenov and founds MTL ateliers.
Philippe Urban has an atelier based in Montreal where he makes handmade hats. The quality of his work is in the attention to detail where he defends the traditions of the millinery, while redefining the classic headwear, defying the conventions and techniques.

In 1986 start as apprentice at Anita Pineault soon he follow in the leading millinery Kates Milinery inc. as house and label designer.
In 1996 He opens the shop boutique gallery "Aphro" in Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2000 from Toulouse to Paris under the Urban and Urbanfil brands, he recycles vintage and Japanese kimonos.
Since 2008 in Montréal as couturier and milliner work for the fashion and entertainment industry.
All hats are custom made from original and exclusive wooden shapes from La Forme, Paris.
Starlight's founder Pavlos Flikas was born in the northern part of Greece, his first introduction to fur was at age 12, he then decided that he wanted to do apprenticeship and become a furrier. He moved to Canada when he was 16 years old, all along practising his technique in continued learning and sharing. He then mastered the art of fur making.

In 1982, Pavlos founded Starlight Furs with his wife Tina.
Together they create and commercialize fur garments and accessories across Canada, the US and Europe. Pavlos is an active member of the Fur Council of Canada and Métiers d’Art du Québec.
All fur items from Starlight Furs are hand made in Canada with most precision, pride, ethic and passion.
Zone Tangible is a company specialized in textile construction and embellishment techniques founded by Alice Lambert. It is a atelier that combines a wide variety of ancient skills: weaving, knitting, needle lace, crochet, kumihimo, embroidery and beading, not to mention macrame and dyeing. The achievements of Zone Tangible are based on a rigorous work of reflection and are distinguished by the excellence of their execution.

In 2014, she founded Zone Tanginle which is perfecting itself in textile production.
In 2017, she obtained a DEC in textile construction at the Center des textiles contemporains de Montréal
In 2018, she is recognized by the Conseil des métiers d'art du Québec
