Rep weave is a technique for weaving ribs across the width of the piece using very thick wefts such as bulky yarn, rope or strips of fabric to create a dense and highly textured cloth. This technique is traditionally used to weave placemats, rugs, or blankets. During the workshop, participants will be introduced to the notions of alternating thin and thick weft picks, reversible cloth, and weaving with two shuttles.
